Benefits of pregnancy and postpartum chiropractic care

Pain relief

Reduces back pain, pelvic pain and other discomforts associated with pregnancy.

Improved pelvic alignment

Helps optimise pelvic balance and room for the baby to position well.

Postpartum recovery

Aids in restoring pelvic alignment and reducing postpartum pain.

Reduced sciatic pain

Alleviates pressure on the sciatic nerve and pain radiating down the leg.

Increased mobility

Helps maintain proper joint function during and after pregnancy.

Nervous system balance

Gentle care supports a calmer, more balanced nervous system as your body adapts through pregnancy and after birth.

Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?

Yes — chiropractic care is considered safe and gentle during pregnancy. Our chiropractors are trained in techniques specifically designed to accommodate the changing body of a pregnant woman. We use specialised equipment and gentle adjustments to ensure your comfort and safety throughout your pregnancy.

Comfort first

Pregnancy pillows and side-lying positioning mean you never need to lie face-down, at any stage.

When can I see a chiropractor postpartum?

You can typically see a chiropractor shortly after giving birth, and many women find it helpful within the first few weeks postpartum. Postnatal care helps your body recover from the physical demands of labour and delivery, and addresses musculoskeletal imbalances that developed during pregnancy. We recommend consulting your medical doctor about your individual circumstances.

Bring baby

Babies are welcome in the room. If your little one needs checking too, we can look at them in the same visit.

What we commonly treat

Low back and pelvic girdle pain, sciatica, rib and upper back pain from postural change, pubic symphysis discomfort, and the neck and shoulder strain that comes with feeding and carrying a newborn.
