Wellness Chiropractic
Care that doesn’t stop the moment pain does. Regular check-ins help you keep the progress you’ve made, notice small changes early and keep moving well for the long term.
What wellness care gives you
Regular reviews help protect the gains from your initial care plan.
Small changes in movement or posture are easier to address before they build up.
Care aimed at mobility, comfort and how well your body is functioning day to day.
Visit frequency is agreed with you and reviewed as your needs change.
From growing kids to active adults and seniors wanting to stay mobile.
Regular adjustments keep your spine moving well, supporting how your nervous system coordinates your body.
Why care shouldn’t stop when pain does
Feeling better and functioning well aren’t always the same thing. Pain often settles before movement, strength and control have fully recovered — and the habits that contributed to the problem, like long hours at a desk, repetitive lifting or poor sleep posture, are usually still there.
Wellness or maintenance care means checking in at planned intervals rather than waiting for things to flare up again. It’s the same idea as regular dental or eye check-ups: keep an eye on things while they’re going well.
In a Scandinavian trial of people with recurring low back pain who had responded well to initial chiropractic care, those who continued with planned maintenance visits reported fewer days of bothersome pain over the following year than those who only returned when symptoms came back (Eklund et al., 2018). Maintenance care isn’t right for everyone — we’ll talk through whether it suits you.
What a wellness visit involves
Each visit starts with a quick review of how you’ve been, followed by a check of your spine, posture and movement. From there, care may include adjustments or gentle low-force techniques, soft tissue work, and updates to your home exercises.
We also look at what’s changed in your life — a new job, a new baby, a new sport — and adjust your care to suit.
Visit frequency depends on your assessment, your goals and how your body responds. It’s agreed together and reviewed regularly, so you’re never guessing.
Who wellness care suits
People who have finished an initial care plan and want to keep their progress, those with a history of recurring back or neck pain, desk workers, active people and weekend athletes, busy parents, and older adults who want to stay mobile and independent.
